Baltimore, Detroit and Wash. D.C. more Homicidal?

I wonder why Baltimore, Detroit and Washington D.C. seem to have many more homicides than robberies when compared to other cities




In comparison, Dallas seems to look pretty good.

Hi, Gary, since you were using Many eyes to look at crime data, you may find Jon Udell's post on Data Analysis as Performance Art relevant. He uses a series of visualizations to investigate a perceived crime wave in New Hampshire.
