Last year I prepared this chart and put it on Flickr. It shows trends of the U.S. aging population. Rollover notes on the chart explain some of the magnitudes of change that will take place.

In the next 40 years, the U.S. will see a 275% increase in 90-94 year-olds - for 95-99 year-olds its 424%.

This chart was possible thanks to the U.S. Census Bureau, Flickr and data visualization software by Swivel.com and Many-eyes.com.

It's interesting to see the people count (U.S. unique visitors) of Flickr and Photobucket over the last year for highest people count. Here is the chart using Many-eyes.com for data visualization and Compete.com for analytics.

Mosaic Photos - Fractal Eggs via Flickriver

Flickriver is the mosaic application used for the above. It's linked to a Flickr account, works great and is easy to use.

Fractally Speaking

I've played with fractals for a number of years and started putting some of my fractal artwork on Flickr - especially the fractal animations. It's been quite a learning adventure, and I think the results are well worth the time.

The above link is to my Flickr DNA. Flickr DNA gathers public information about any Flickr member, analyzes it, organizes it, and creates a high-level overview.
