The number of mosques in the United States in 2011 was 2,106. Today, there are over 2,500 mosques.


The four states below have the most number of mosques. Over the last 5 years, there has been a 30%-40% increase in mosques within these states:

• New York - 33.5% (257 - 343 mosques)
• California - 32.5% (246 - 326 mosques)
• Texas - 39.8% (166 - 232 mosques)
• Florida - 29.7% (118 - 153 mosques)
